6 Ways To Get Organized For Christmas

No.1 Organize and declutter the kids toys

Look for any toys that your kids have not played with for several months. Donate them to charity or give them to social services or give them to the church, or just whatever is appropriate. Pop them into different bags, sort them out and try and get them out of the house as quick as possible before the kids see them.

No. 2 Give the whole house a declutter

A really cluttered house will stress you out. For the coming new year, it’s nice to start off on a relatively streamline house and then go from there for the new year. Declutter the whole house is not easy. Create a decluttering checklist. Start with 5 minutes at a time. Take before and after photos of a small area.  Choose one part of your home, like your kitchen counter, and take a photo of a small area. Quickly clean off the items in the photo and take an after photo. Once you see how your home could look, it becomes easier to start decluttering more of your home.

No.3 Start early and planning in advance

There’s a lot things need to be planned for Christmas. It is not just presents or food but also plans.

  • What family are you going to see?
  • When are you going to go?

Try and get the plans in as early as possible.
